CAMS is staging Australia's first major national motoring and motor sport festival in the rapidly-growing Echuca-Moama region over the NSW Labour Day long weekend from 1-4 October 2010.
One of the initiatives of CARnival is the first National Interclub competition in which Clubs are encouraged to enter a team of 10 vehicles to take part in a suite of events, from bitumen Motorkhanas and Auto Tests to Speed Events at Euchuca Airport.
Those that feel more comfortable on loose surfaces are catered for with a multi-stage Rally Sprint series, including a Speedway and a challenging interesting off-road course.
You can also be among vehicles of all types in the Shannons Show and Shine or take on the challenging Navigation Test, Fuel Economy Run or the fun driving events on grass.
Check out http://www.camscarnival.com.au/ for more information.

Should be more than just interesting me thinks. They are having some sort of inter-club challenge too. The timing isn't great for team Gnomesport, but maybe some others in Hills would be interested in forming a team? We have some pretty handy motorkhana and khanacross competitors in the club at least, and a certain FORD could be interesting in the go-stop event on the airstrip too. I would love to take my girls down for a try. And for those who haven't been to Echuca, it's a great place, real trip back in time and certainly on my list to visit again.

WOW, just checked the website and its postponed till May 2011. It states, basically that it is postponed due to lack of interest!!! That is a blessing for team Gnome as timing was not good for us. We may well have a full 4 driver team now. I hope it goes ahead next year as the concept is a super idea - I can't wait.
